Why Are We Here?

Our Heavenly Father sent us to Earth to let us all grow in mind, body, and spirit. We have already passed preschool in our pre-existence. Earth is our kindergarten class.

We are here to learn:

• Love as God loves with unconditional compassionate service. Selfless love.

• Embrace God's mercy, from His eternal perspective for our growth.

• Trust in God as He intimately knows all His creations and our potential.

• Use Jesus Christ's Gospel and Atonement to heal all pain and lead us home.

• Strive for a pure heart free of guile or falseness.

• Avoid judging others; respect free will.

• Learn from our trials to gain empathy, wisdom, humility, gratitude, and charity.

• Limit meaningless distractions and focus on self-control...mind, body, and spirit.

• Gain strength by leaning on God to overcome weakness.

• Recognize we are all God's children. He is only a thought away.

• Obey God faithfully to gain intelligence.

• Walk gratefully with God to overcome fear and doubt. Think positive!

Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have blessed us with free will, allowing us to learn right from wrong and find joy through trials. We received a new body and a beautiful world to explore, where we can grow as brothers and sisters.

Let us all grow and return home!

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.

Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardour and diligence.
